An Update to Our Name

Home An Update to Our Name

Important update you’ll begin noticing across our Rockford branches and communications in the months ahead.

After thoughtful consideration, we’ve decided to use the Foresight Bank name across our Northwest Bank locations rather than continuing to use two names. While the name may be new in our branches and on our buildings, the people, service, and commitment you know remain exactly the same.

This change reflects how we’ve grown and how we serve our customers today. Over the past six months, as Northwest Bank became a Division of Foresight Bank, many of the systems and services you already use — including digital banking, statements, and official notices — were updated to reflect the Foresight name. Aligning our branch signage and remaining materials is a natural next step.

What this means for you

  • Your accounts, account numbers, and banking services remain the same
  • Your local Rockford branch team remains the same
  • You can continue using your existing debit cards, checks, and other materials. Replacements will reflect the Foresight Bank name as they are naturally issued.
  • No action is required on your part

Why Foresight

Northwest Bank has been part of the Foresight organization since 1989, serving the Rockford community as part of a strong network of community banks. While we’ve historically operated under two names, we’ve long been one organization—sharing the same values, leadership, and commitment to our customers.

The Foresight name reflects our focus on thoughtful guidance, long-term stability, and helping our customers plan confidently for what's ahead. Uniting under one name reflects who we are today and our continued commitment to supporting the Rockford community well into the future.

This name update applies only to our Rockford area locations and none of the other Foresight Bank Divisions.

Over the coming months, you’ll see the Foresight Bank name appear gradually across our Rockford branches and materials. If you have any questions, your local team is always here to help.

Thank you for placing your trust in us. We’re grateful for the opportunity to continue serving you—with the same people, the same commitment, and a shared focus on your financial future.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

     Questions       Answers
What is happening?

Northwest Bank of Rockford, which has been operating as a Division of Foresight Bank, will begin using the Foresight Bank name across all Rockford locations.

Why are we doing this?

After operating together for the past year, leadership determined that using one name in Rockford better reflects how we already serve customers. Many of our systems, statements, and digital tools already reflect the Foresight name.

As the only locally headquartered bank in our region, we’ve continued investing in our products, technology, and capabilities to ensure we can serve our customers and community for the long term. This alignment reflects that strength.

Is this a merger or buyout?

No. There has been no change in ownership. Rockford has already been operating as a Division of Foresight Bank. This is a naming alignment only.

Our leadership team remains local, and our commitment to this community has not changed.

Does this affect customers’ accounts?

No. Accounts, account numbers, routing numbers, services, and pricing remain the same.

Do customers need new debit cards or checks?

No. Customers can continue using their existing debit cards, checks, and materials. Replacements will reflect the Foresight name as they are naturally issued.

Are there any staffing or branch changes?

No. This does not affect staffing, leadership, or branch locations in Rockford.

Does this effect other Foresight Bank Divisions? No, this name update applies only to our Rockford area locations and none of the other Foresight Bank Divisions.
What is the timeline of this change? Over the coming months, you’ll see the Foresight Bank name appear gradually across our Rockford branches and materials. Exterior building signage is scheduled to be replaced in June 2026.
